The soybean can be used in multiple ways, and its high oil content makes it suitable for extraction. Soy bean meal, a by-product of the oil extraction, is a good source of protein with a high feeding value, and is therefore used in a number of different animal feeds. Further, soy bean meal has a low production price, which is one of the reasons for the extensive export of the product. There is a great demand for vegetable-based proteins, especially in the organic production where synthetic amino acids are banned. However, the current production of soy beans is not environmentally sound and that combined with the long transport distances amplifies the need of finding a locally produced protein source.

The aim of this undergraduate thesis was to formulate advices regarding the use of field beans, cultivated together with spring wheat, as whole-crop silage in feeding to dairy cows. In the thesis, optimal harvest time of the field bean/spring wheat crop, as well as the feeding value and the fermentation quality, was studied. On the research station at Röbäcksdalen in Umeå field bean/spring wheat (70 % respective 30 % of normal seed rate for the pure crop) and pea/oat (70/30) was grown in field experiments both 2002 and 2003. The following year, 2004, the pea/oat crop was excluded and instead field bean and spring wheat was cultivated in three different mixed ratios (field bean/spring wheat; 100:0, 70:30, 30:70). Every year the crops were harvested at four different development stages and the green forages were used in ensiling experiments.

There is a shortage of locally produced high quality protein concentrates in Europe andSweden. Local production would decrease the dependency on imported soybean and meet thedemand for organically grown feedstuff from ecological dairy farmers. Field bean (Viciafaba), peas (Pisum sativum) and sweet lupin (Lupinus angustifolius) are good alternatives tosoybean, but contain anti-nutritional substances (ANS) that could reduce their use as proteinconcentrates in dairy cow diets. The aim of this literature study was to review which ANSfield bean, peas and sweet lupin contain and whether they affect dairy cows negatively.Trypsin inhibitors and Chymotrypsin inhibitors (TI) were present in all three crops. TI couldbecome inactivated and degraded in the rumen, but due to the high passage speed of thedigesta, most TI left the rumen in an active state.

Syfte: Undersökningens utgångspunkt är ett intresse för dataspelet Counter Strike sett utifrån ett genusperspektiv. Det övergripande syftet med uppsatsen är att granska varför inga tjejer nått toppen inom Counter Strike. Metod: Utgångspunkten för uppsatsen ligger i det hermeneutiska perspektivet. Undersökningen utgörs av en kvalitativ studie bestående av flertalet intervjuer med mestadels kvinnliga dataspelare av spelet Counter Strike. Slutsats: Resultatet av undersökningen visar att den sociala biten är den främsta orsaken till att kvinnor spelar Counter Strike.

In family firms altruistic effects can arise in order to preserve the ownership of the firm within the family. The family firm may chose to carry or take measures against these effects. Regardless, it will lead to different agent costs. Therefore, the aims of the study were to explain how altruistic effects in family firms exert an influence on the administrative systems and possible counter measures.In order to explain the origin of altruistic effects, we built a theory which showed that the altruistic effects were followed by agent costs. The family can take measures to counteract these original effects.

The objective of this thesis was firstly to examine the possibilities of creating a universal tool for evaluating IT-security. When all the material was gathered we saw that we had strayed away from our subject and that our focus was on IT-threats and IT-professionals apprehensions and possibilities on the subject. The purpose of this thesis was there after to find and identify threats and counter measures in publications and later discuss these with IT-professionals. We found and identified several threats that the professionals encountered in their work. These threats ranged from techniques used by hackers to threats that can arise when the users on the network are poorly educated.

Ekonomprofessionen genomgår ofta förändringar och därför är det naturligt att ekonomens roll förändras över tiden. Ekonomen har tidigare varit en så kallad bean-counter men har över tiden utvecklats till att vara mer delaktig i organisationen och har därmed börjat anta rollen som en affärspartner. Offentliga verksamheter såsom stat, kommun och landsting är stora organisationer som har hand om en viktig del av Sveriges samhällsekonomi. Ekonomen har därmed en viktig roll inom den offentliga sektorn då deras verksamheter berör alla medborgare. Denna studie har genomförts i en kommunal sektor och syftar till att kartlägga olika typer av ekonomers arbetsuppgifter och arbetssätt för att därigenom kunna öka förståelsen för vilken roll ekonomerna har inom den kommunala sektorn.

Den svenska försvarsmakten har genomgått en förändring mot ett insatsförsvar från ett invasionsförsvar. I dagsläget genomför Försvarsmakten insatser internationellt, tillsammans med flera olika nationer, något som ställer krav på interoperabilitet. Försvarsmakten har genomfört insatser i Afghanistan sedan 2002 och har där varit med om utvecklingen av IED-hotet och på så sätt blivit tvungen att genomföra en anpassning. This master?s thesis report is a summary of the analysis performed together with ITAB Shop Concept located in Jönköping, Sweden. As a last element of the Master?s program at the School of Engineering, this 20 point level D thesis project has been the final work to bring my education to an end.ITAB Shop Concept expressed an aspiration that the Shop Counter Program B10/B11 should undergo an analysis to point out and possibly lead to improvement.Through interviews and data collection proposals for possible improvements has been drawn up and the analysis points out current deficiencies. By following the idea generation, proposals to solutions for every individual problem is presented.

The aim of this study was to detect antibodies in swine serum against proteins in soy beans, wheat, oat and barley. Two methods were used: agar gel immunodiffusion test (AGID), and SDS-PAGE followed by immunoblotting. The sera examined originated (I) from piglets younger than one week (negative control), (II) pigs from a feed trial with soy bean in a herd with PMWS, and (III) pigs inoculated with Brachyspira hyodysenteriae and Escherichia coli after being fed with soy. The AGID-test was negative concerning all examined sera which were analysed against proteins in soy bean, wheat, oat and barley. In the experiment based on immunoblot antibodies were demonstrated within all three groups of examined pigs.

The purpose with this qualitative interview study was to try to describe, through a phenomenological viewpoint, the meaning that Counter-Strike players put on there contemporary world. We started to explore this Game World with field research studies on the world?s biggest Game exhibition Dreamhack in the city of Jönköping. This helped us to develop our main question for this study.The thirteen participants of the interview were selectively chosen from a Game Café in the city of Karlstad. They were interviewed with five questions that dealt with their experiences of playing Counter-Strike and their experience of time perception in their world.

Bakgrund: Med tanke på de förändringar som har skett i den kommunala sektorn det senaste trettio åren har även ekonomrollen förändrats och anpassats.
